The SceneStudio Mini PC is based on AOpen®'s open platform Digital Engines. They are compact enough to be embedded or mounted onto any digital signage display while providing CoreTM2 Duo horsepower along with 802.11 b/g WLAN and best-in-class durability.

How is SceneStudio powered?

You will need to attach a media player to your output display. The Windows XP Pro-based PC is both a media player and a server. You can use your own PC or purchase a SceneStudio certified media player.


SceneStudio certified media players contain the SceneStudio application, third party plug ins, codec’s and the Windows operating system, which is provisioned to operate a digital signage application.


Media player system requirements include:

  • Intel Dual Core processor
  • 1GB memory
  • Enterprise-class SATA hard drive
  • Windows XP Pro operating system

Client PCs can run Windows XP Pro, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.


Two SceneStudio certified media players are available:

  • Desktop unit (12.75" w x 3.9" h x 15.75" d)
  • Mini PC (6.54" w x 1.89" h x 6.19" d)
